Quality Measures Can Unlock Value

Written by NIC | Mar 10, 2017 5:00:53 AM

Today’s consumers have high expectations. They demand quality products and services delivered in a timely, cost-effective, and convenient fashion.

That’s why evidence-based quality measures have become so crucial, especially in the seniors housing and care industry. Consumers want a way to judge whether they can expect to receive high-quality care in a comfortable setting.  Likewise, hospitals, physician groups, payors, and even lenders want proof that the care being provided creates better outcomes at a lower cost.

The importance of quality metrics will be discussed by experts at the upcoming 2017 NIC Spring Investment Forum, March 22-24, Hilton San Diego Bayfront.  The session, “Unlocking Value with Quality Metrics,” will explore key elements of this significant trend, including:

  • Which quality indicators should be measured and how the new Administration may influence these metrics
  • How quality metrics can mitigate risk and improve revenue streams
  • Why seniors housing and care providers need to align interests with hospital and physician groups

The panel will be moderated by Michael Torgan, a senior manager at First Quality Healthcare Group. He will be joined by Kim Barrows, president, KB Post-Acute Strategic Specialists; and Kim Estes, senior vice president, clinical services, Brookdale Senior Living.
